Ok I have found the bug...

How to explain this, 30th of july is the buggy day... May be it's because this is a special day, i've heard that drscheme's splash screen shows information about the special days, and most likely, an icon or a bitmap is missing in there, that is why a "false" parameter is passed instead of a bitmap object.

However, I've taken a look at scheme-normal.ss, it seems that the special days are hard coded, unfortunately I'm not even an American so I've got no idea what special event is today!

Hi

I installed drscheme 4.2 recently and everything was fine and working until I restarted my system and when I tried running the development environment again I get a strange error, Uninstalling/Reinstalling even to another location does not help. please help me, I tried looking for a location wherin temporary or configuration data are stored, but i couldnt find any, this error seems to be related with the splash screen:

I tried to install the 4.2 version, and I got "Error launching installer". I tried this multiple times from multiple mirrors. Doesn't work.
My system is a laptop with: Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, T7250 @ 2.00GHz, 2GB RAM.

Kyle: You can check for updates from the help menu, and this will also have an option to check for updates every some time. When there is an update, you get the option of going to the website to download the new one. (Making the actual update happen automatically would be pretty difficult...)

The rate of progress on PLT is quite impressive. I just wish that downloading and installing updates were a bit more automatic. Maybe it'll be included in 4.3? *crosses fingers* ;-)
